Project Manager – NDE, NDT, Inspection – Kuwait
• Ensure strong Health, Security, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSSEQ) performance
• Act as day-to-day client and contract contact on site(s) and liaison to client and company – facilitate all dealings with the client (inc. Invoice processing, reports, dashboard and KPI reporting)
• Develop effective working relationship with the client and re-establish client confidence and company image with the client. Develop strong personal relationship with key client stakeholders and close working relationship to demonstrate empathy and support
• Maintain effective communication / dialogue at all times with the client and employees on-site
• Attend all site meetings on behalf of the company and manage expectations vs ability to deliver (i.e. promises to be kept)
• Drive and demonstrate strong, proactive and consultative relations with the client group
• Prepare and update of contractual documents and project plans
• Plan manpower resources, project schedules and budget, including shutdown, turnarounds and emergency works
• Assist in identifying additional scope opportunities with the client
• Monitored project progress and ensure project objectives (reporting KPI’s) are met
• Manage contractual agreement, with a Middle Eastern approach, ensuring processes are followed and adhered to. Obtain a clear understanding of the contract both commercially and practically to ensure the company’s interests are protected at all times
• Work closely with various cross functional team to ensure work is carried out in a timely order
• Ensure staff are qualified and trained to carry out their task and are always in possession of required PPE
• Manage staff recruitment numbers, in liaison with HR to ensure mobilisation is effectively managed
• Manage staff rotation – leave planning and cover
• Strongly identify as point of contact with both client and own staff on site
• To lead and motivate staff so as to achieve project objectives
• Assist the team to resolve conflicts and interface problems within the project and committed to success of the project
• Identifies risk exposure and risk mitigation measures
Essential Experience:
You must have extensive experience in the EPC / Oil and Gas industry and will have worked for a large multinational organization on high profile projects. You will be a proven leader, with the ability to manage project teams and client relationships and demonstrate excellent HSEQ performance.
More specifically the following skills, knowledge & experience are required:
• Degree in Engineering with at least of 5 years of relevant experience in project management in the Refinery (Preferred) or Oil & Gas related industries
• Strong knowledge of Integrity, Inspection and NDE services is critical
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Well versed in project planning software (Microsoft Project /Primavera 6)
• Must have strong leadership and organization skills
• Ability to take ownership of project requirements
• Methodical mind set
• Self-starter and team player
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
• Skill in negotiation and conflict resolution
• Able to work in a multi-cultured environment
• Arabic Language an advantage
• Kuwaiti experience beneficial
