MIS Systems Administrator - Australian College of Kuwait

ACK is seeking an experienced MIS Database Administrator to be part of a team that supports the rapidly growing number of staff and students at the college. The MIS Systems Administrator shall be responsible to ensure the provision of effective and reliable administration and coordination for the MIS system with ACK staff, students and clients. Formal Qualifications, Experience and Attributes:
Ensure the operation, architecture, grade of service of the associated operating systems and applications meet the operational requirements of ACK.

Essential:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degree
• Minimum 5-10 years experience in a Microsoft SQL database administration role within the IT Industry.
• Extensive experience within an educational environment utilising education management systems such as SunGard PowerCAMPUS
• Implementation experience of Enterprise Resource Planning solutions (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics GP; MENA HR)

Desirable:
• A post graduate qualification in a relevant IT subject.
• 5-10 years experience in Project Management of large scale IT implementation projects.

Evaluates firm's operating data, compares current versus historical information and provides investment selection strategies to senior management
Track expenses and revenues vs. budget and reforecast and analyze fluctuations.
Monitor fundamental economic, industrial, and corporate developments through the analysis of information obtained from financial publications and services, investment banking firms, government agencies, trade publications, and company sources.
Organizes and analyses financial data,develops, maintain and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models as and when requested by the Finance Manager
Assist in the monthly/quarterly/yearly closing process, reviewing the completeness and compliance to the standards of the consolidated reports.
Conduct regular financial planning and analysis. Evaluating financial performance on a regular basis and identifying areas for improvement for each corporate/project. Scenario Development and perform ‘what-if’ modeling and trend analysis
Monitoring and reporting the financial performance of the company/projects on a regular basis. Build and Analyze business plans & strategic plans, forecasts, departmental expenses, headcount, and other direct and indirect cost items.
Report the monthly consolidated performance to Senior Management along with the financial analysis.
Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems Reading financial statements of the organization and also taking into consideration, the expenses and sales, in order to advise for investments and forecast future earnings of the organization
Provide insightful analysis and makes recommendations to Senior Management regarding cost savings or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies Participate in special projects and assignments as required
Recommend changes in business models or processes based on analysis and forecasting.
Establish and monitor the implementation and affective use of reporting & analyzing tools.
Maintain standards of safety and comply with Company’s Health and Safety policy

Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance and accounting or statistics
A chartered financial analyst (CFA) certified or an MBA is a big plus
7+ years of valid experience

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

11. Create and maintain a detailed database of the Executive Management contacts.
12. Draft correspondences for BACCH executives, and arrange meetings, interviews and appointments for Executive Management.
13. Provide administrative support to other departments and coordinate the required resources for any event with those departments.
