Duty Officer / Cargo - NAS - National Aviation Services
Monitors, supervises, directs and controls all related activities, cargo personnel and equipments engaged in Cargo Warehousing and Operations on a shift basis as well as safety measures/ precautions required to ensure the delivery of quality customer service and on-time performance is maintained at all times.
● Responsible for allocating workforce/ manpower, equipments, etc. required in the operations
● Qualified and able to handle DGR/AVI/PER/VAL shipments
● Analyzes forecast workload profiles and identify labor and equipment and other related requirements based from the same;
● Monitors and coordinates activities outside the warehouse including export cargo acceptance, import cargo deliveries, pallet build up and breakdowns ; Liaises with airline representatives, security, customs, related government agencies and other parties involved as required or necessary
● Ensures all cash collections during duty hours are deposited by the staff in charge and checks/ reports any discrepancies
● Ensures overall performance of staff and equipments by constantly making a physical/ actual check on them
● Monitors related performance reports including deficiencies, incidents, etc. and disseminate important information to the staff / Cargo Manager
8 years Air Cargo Operations (3-5 years experience in supervisory position)
● Bachelors Degree
● Good in Computer Skills and other machines such as a telex
● Excellent English Communication Skills – verbal and written
● Leadership, organizational, problem solving and time management skills
